4.5; I would've given five stars if not for the ending; then again maybe its banality was intended exactly as a mockery on McKee? (not sure if I should keep on reading McKee's book after watching this film...) The ultimate meta-cinema. Every material used (including, and especially the self-loathing part) is from this world, yet when Kaufman pieces them together into a film it turns out to be so bizarre and out of this world.

影片除了蒙太奇鏡頭外,很多鏡頭具有實(shí)驗(yàn)性質(zhì),比如拍攝人物剪影、通過倒影、鏡子、水晶球拍攝、照片中的人物會(huì)動(dòng)等等。在這部處女作中就可以看出愛森斯坦導(dǎo)演的場(chǎng)面調(diào)度能力,在罷工開始如火如荼蔓延的那場(chǎng)戲里,先是遠(yuǎn)景拍攝罷工的人群,然后特寫工人們對(duì)工廠進(jìn)行破壞,對(duì)工頭進(jìn)行懲罰。兩者交叉剪輯,讓觀眾明白罷工的隊(duì)伍在逐漸擴(kuò)大,星星之火,可以燎原。配樂很好的契合電影節(jié)奏,第一節(jié)平靜的工廠里,配樂舒緩而放松,然后隨著電影情節(jié)的推薦,而逐漸變得急促。但在一些時(shí)候又有變化,比如第一個(gè)工人自殺的時(shí)候,音樂變得悲傷。最后一段軍隊(duì)對(duì)工人血腥鎮(zhèn)壓的戲里,出現(xiàn)了大量的蒙太奇鏡頭,用宰牛來象征著軍隊(duì)對(duì)工人屠殺的殘酷。影片告訴我們的道理很簡(jiǎn)單,無產(chǎn)階級(jí)要想獲得革命的勝利,必須進(jìn)行武裝斗爭(zhēng),不然只能任人宰割。
